Let me introduce myself

I’m Tara McFall

Digital Growth Consultant, Experienced Trainer, Mentor, Email Marketing Specialist, Always Mum, Sometimes Yogi. Proud Co-Founder of Sustainable Growth Co.

People often ask “how did you get started in digital?”

My digital story began stamping the expiry date on movie tickets. Hundreds. And. Thousands. of movie tickets. After a gap year abroad, I had taken a job selling corporate movie vouchers at Greater Union cinemas, where the clever folks saw an opportunity to create an online store to sell the vouchers online. I was lucky enough to be invited along for the ride.

And by ride I mean helping manage the online store and it’s digital marketing. This meant sending lots of emails and fumbling my way through Yahoo search ads (yes, this was before Google as we know it was even on the scene...gasp!).

Since those early days I’ve been lucky enough to work across the full digital landscape (and moved from fumbling to finessed), from building complex ecommerce sites, structuring resources and teams for digital growth to using data to develop successful marketing strategies.

I’ve had the pleasure to work with some incredible brands and people along the way, like launching the digital presence for new brands QT Hotels and Art Series Hotels, creating Moet Hennessy’s first ever ecommerce and direct to consumer platform in Asia Pacific, leading General Assembly’s full-on Digital Marketing courses to reinvigorating Clean Energy Finance Corporations website and digital.

I now focus on helping teams learn and brands grow online in a sustainable way...for them, for their teams and for the planet. In 2020, I cofounded Sustainable Growth Co with my incredible business partner Katie Graham and I now work with businesses large and small from Byron Bay and beyond. I love meeting new people and helping bring their passion to life, whilst hopefully leaving the world a little bit better while I do it.

*and remember, you never know where stamping movie tickets (or some small job you might not think much of at the time) will take you. So if you’re just starting in digital, be curious, get as much experience as you can and keep learning.*

In early 2018, after welcoming our beautiful baby boy in this bright world, my husband and I moved from Sydney to sunshiny Byron Bay (and yes, I'm always happy to chat about how we made it happen). I still travel regularly to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane should you want to catch up over a cuppa next time I'm in town. And yes, laughter is usually a free inclusion in all of my packages.
